USAID formally launched a new 5-year program to strengthen Georgia’s energy security

Today, USAID formally launched a new five-year program to strengthen Georgia’s energy security.

“Together with our Georgian partners in the public and private sectors, we will support policy reforms and facilitate investments that help Georgia upgrade its energy infrastructure and expand its domestic production capacity, with a particular focus on climate-friendly sources.

This will advance the interests of the Georgian people in three important ways: ensuring a more stable supply of affordable energy, building resilience against malign influence, including cyberattacks, and promoting reforms that advance Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration and encourage greater private sector investment”, - reads the statement of the USAID.
