The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wrote on the social network about the telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili:
“My precious brother,
I made a phone call with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. We discussed relations between our countries and regional issues.
I thanked Mr. Garibashvili who also expressed his support in the fight against the fire.
I mentioned that Turkey-Georgia strategic partnership has become more meaningful in such days and we see Georgia as the key to regional cooperation.
I emphasized that it is necessary to act together especially in terms of the efficiency and safety of regional transmission lines.
I noted that we also want to revive the triple mechanism of Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan, which was successfully conducted by ministers and MPs at the level of leaders”, - writes Erdogan.
