The Parliament approved the Special Resolution on De-occupation

The Parliament approved the Special Resolution on De-occupation and Peaceful Resolution of the Conflict with 91 votes against none.

The Draft Resolution was submitted by the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze stating that by the Resolution, the Parliament calls on Russia to terminate the annexation of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions, calls on the international society to further consolidate the efforts and to condemn the occupation by Russia.

The document concerns the decision of the Strasbourg Court and provides a clear record that the partners of Georgia shall rely on this very decision when conducting their policy towards Russia and the territorial integrity of Georgia.
