The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia, H.E. Ulrik Tidestrom and newly appointed police attach, Johan Grenfors.

During the meeting, parties discussed successful cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and law enforcement agency of the Kingdom of Sweden.

Vakhtang Gomelauri emphasized the significance of the visa-free travel with the EU and informed the guests on measures implemented by the Ministry in order to ensure successful continuation of visa free travel.

Vakhtang Gomelauri congratulated the police attache on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavours. The Minister highlighted, that the appointment of the Swedish police attache is a clear precondition for further developing the existing relations.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the priority directions of future cooperation.
