The Minister of Health and US Ambassador to Georgia discussed the current epidemiological situation and expansion of the immunization program in Georgia.

According to Kelly Degnan, she is concerned about high rates of COVID in Georgia and is watching carefully to see what could be done to bring those case levels down, but more importantly, to bring the vaccination rate up.

As the Ambassador said, the Health Ministry and the US Embassy continue working together to help Georgians get accurate information about why vaccination is safe and important.

The introduction of COVID Certificates was the main topic of the meeting. Ekaterine Tikaradze said the introduction of Green Passes would be a significant tool for vaccination promotion and safety of people.
