The need to publish video footage of Mikheil Saakashvili being transferred to the Gldani prison medical facility is questionable and unfortunate. Such a statement made today the EU Ambassador to Georgia.

“The distribution of this video does not help to ease the situation.

I do not see the purpose of publishing this video in any way that responds to what should be in focus, which is the health status of Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as the protection of his fundamental rights, including the protection of dignity and privacy”, - added Carl Hartzell.
