As long as Georgia wants in the EU and chooses this path, we are staying here, supporting you, waiting for you and cooperating with you. Such a statement made the member of the European Parliament Marina Kaljurand in Strasbourg.
“The principle of more for more and less for less is a reality. Each partner state decides which path it chooses, how close it wants to be to Europe. I hope that the Eastern Partnership Summit may become a page of changes, a new chapter in cooperation.
I do not know today whether the EU will be ready to talk about Georgia’s European perspective or open door policy, it needs a political consensus, which I do not see at the moment. We may use different words and phrases, but the main thing remains the same - as long as Georgia wants in the EU and chooses this path, we are staying here, supporting you, waiting for you and cooperating with you”, - said the MEP.
