Ukraine and Georgia can move forward in NATO membership if they meet the requirements. Such a statement made the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in an interview with NBC.
“Compliance with the criteria will bring closer the solution of the issue of NATO membership to both Ukraine and Georgia.
The Alliance confirmed back in 2008 that it was open to Ukraine and Georgia. If they continue to apply for membership in it and meet the requirements, it will bring closer the solution to the issue of their accession.
NATO has made it clear since its inception that its doors will be open to any European countries that aspire to membership and meet the necessary criteria”, - added US Secretary of State.
