Ekaterine Tikaradze, who announced her resignation as the Health Minister, was asked by journalists why she did not attend today’s Cabinet meeting and whether it was linked to her protest.

“I believe the protest is destruction. I call on the public to avoid it. There is no need to look for an intrigue that does not exist.

As for the new candidate for this post. It’s the Prime Minister’s prerogative to nominate and elect a new member of the Government”, - added Ekaterine Tikaradze.
