Russian occupation forces have illegally detained 2 Georgian citizens near the village of Lopani, Khashuri municipality.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, there is constant communication through the hotline regarding the issue, adding that the European Union monitoring mission (EUMM) in Georgia and the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions have been informed.

“The SSSG, together with its international partners, is actively involved in the ongoing efforts for the immediate release of Georgian citizens”, - reads the statement of the agency.
