In addressing all challenges, along with the Georgian people and the authorities, were backed by our doctors, policemen, soldiers and pedagogues, said today Shalva Papuashvili, prior to the voting in the Parliament.

“Despite these acute challenges, our team has maintained the peace without a single step back; we have overcome several waves of the pandemic, regained the economic index to the pre-pandemic point, held a successful Municipal Elections, and created a solid basis for the political stability of the country. We, in addressing all these challenges, along with the Georgian people and the authorities, were backed by our doctors, policemen, soldiers and pedagogues.

I am extremely grateful to every person standing in support of the country in this hard period. The Parliament is the institution best expressing the will of the people and the power of the people as a source of authority. And thus, being the Speaker of the Parliament, I will stand as a watchdog of the Parliamentary sovereignty”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
