Georgia has not had such a strong opposition spark since the 1990s as it does now - Mikheil Saakashvili

Georgia has not had such a strong opposition spark since the 1990s as it does now, wrote Mikheil Saakashvili in a letter posted on his Facebook page.

“A large-scale invasion of Kazakhstan by Russian troops operating under cover of the CSTO began today, where entire peoples revolted against social injustice, corruption and election fraud.

This means that the Kazakh leadership will kill its own people with soldiers from Russia, Armenia and other neighbors.

Do we want such a scenario for Georgia? Of course not, and if not - we must learn to put aside all grievances and personal ambitions and achieve the goal through joint, mass and continuous action, using all legitimate levers.

Otherwise, our people, 80% of whom are already living in poverty, will either starve to death or have to leave our country.

Georgia has not had such a strong opposition spark since the 1990s as it does now. This time it is the duty of politicians, activists, just active citizens to turn the numerous protest streams into one powerful, wide protest flow and to wash off everything that prevents us from living a dignified life in our own country and steals the future of our kids”, - writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
