Mamuka Khazaradze, one of the accused in the so-called money laundering case, was expelled from the courtroom. Judge Giorgi Arevadze made such decision because of the noise in the courtroom.
The defendant was irritated by the Prosecutor’s remark, because, according to the defiance, the Prosecutor did not make a remark, but a new concluding speech.
“Are you aware of what you are talking about? Do you think I am afraid of 9 years? Do you think I am afraid of going to prison?”, - said Mamuka Khazaradze after which the judge made him leave the courtroom.
“I will go, this is not a court, you are Bidzina’s [Ivanishvili] slaves”, - added Khazaradze.
Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze were charged on July 24, 2019 with legalizing USD 16,664,000 illegal income.
