The Public Defender of Georgia presented the report on Mikheil Saakashvili’s health condition issued by the medical council.

“No significant changes have been made in terms of former president’s treatment methodology, he is mainly receiving medical treatment. Our recommendations on the need for psychological and physical rehabilitation are still unfulfilled.

A group of doctors, specialists and experts of the Ombudsman checked the health condition of Mikheil Saakashvili. This is the 3rd visit that this group has made since the end of the hunger strike.

We found that during these 3 visits, which took place after November 23, on December 12 and January 11, no significant changes were made in terms of treatment methodology, the patient is mainly receiving medical treatment, however, our recommendations, which we gave at the end of November, on the need for psychological and physical rehabilitation are still unfulfilled.

There are no significant changes in terms of the condition, so it can be considered that these reports, assessments and recommendations are final”, - said Nino Lomjaria.
