The third President of Georgia appeals to the Georgian authorities to transfer him to Kiev through medical transfer due to his health condition.

Mikheil Saakashvili also appeals to the authorities to postpone his temporary sentence.

According to Saakashvili, if the government agrees to his proposal, he promises to return to Georgia.

“I appeal to you to accept the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and allow my medical transfer to the city of Kiev. Postpone the verdict temporarily until the situation stabilizes. I am a citizen of Ukraine, I am the incumbent chairman of the National Reform Council of Ukraine. My office is located directly next to the office of President Zelenky and still works today. As soon as my state of health and the situation in general slightly stabilizes, I give you an honest word, and I never break my word, that I will arrive in Tbilisi at the very first summon if you decide to continue this criminal prosecution, which I consider unfair”, - said Mikheil Saakashvili.

At the same time, according to the former president, he will not interfere in Georgian politics during his stay abroad.
