Prime Minister of Georgia wrote on the social network Twitter that Georgia welcomes the decision of the Council - to ask the European Commission to study the applications for membership of the European Union.

“Welcome the Council’s decision to ask the EC to examine the applications for the EU membership submitted by Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. This new chapter in our relations motivates us to accelerate our reform agenda.

We are grateful for this important decision”, - tweeted Irakli Garibashvili.
