According to NNEGC Energoatom, Ukraine’s nuclear energy operator, the Russian forces blew up part of their munition stocks on the site of the seized Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant.
“They blew up part of the ammunition at the site of the Zaporizhia NPP near the ruins of the training center and Power Unit 1. And they plan to continue carrying out detonations at the largest nuclear facility in Europe”, - said Energoatom.
It is noted that before the explosions went off, staffers left their working places.
As previously reported, Energoatom had warned of the invaders’ intentions to blow up ammunition at the Zaporizhia NPP.
Russian troops captured the NPP on the night of March 4. The station was stormed by an enemy convoy, consisting of about 100 armored hardware units.
