As an ordinary Georgian and as the Minister of Internal Affairs, I once again express my full and open support to our friendly Ukrainian people. Such a statement made today the Minister of Internal Affairs in his parliament speech.
“For us, what is happening in Ukraine is especially important and painful. In 2008, as a result of the war, we experienced and underwent the consequences of this aggression in our homeland. As an ordinary Georgian and as the Minister of Internal Affairs, I express full and open support to our friendly Ukrainian people.
The situation in Ukraine is very difficult and grave, the civilian population is suffering. Children, women, the elderly are dying, cities are being bombed, unfortunately, there are a lot of casualties.
The international community and world leaders must do everything possible to end this war as soon as possible.
Our Government is politically supporting Ukraine at all international levels, and at the same time, humanitarian aid is being sent constantly from Georgia”, - said Vakhtang Gomelauri.
