Trial of Mikheil Saakashvili on the case of embezzlement of funds to be held today

The trial of Mikheil Saakashvili and former Head of the Special State Protection Service Teimuraz Janashia, accused of embezzling large sums of money, will be held today in in Tbilisi City Court.

The hearing is scheduled for 12:00. Former President is expected to attend the trial.

The Prosecutor’s Office accuses the defendants of embezzling a large amount of budget money - GEL 9 million.
