The Chairman of the Parliament will discuss Georgia’s integration into the European Union at today’s meeting with the European Parliament President in Brussels.

As part of his ongoing visit to Brussels, Shalva Papuashvili will meet with Roberta Metsola and MEPs.

“We bring Georgia’s application for EU membership to a new level, and therefore, the meeting with the President of the European Parliament is important in this regard as well. I think this will be, among other things, the basis for cooperation between the two parliaments”, - said the Speaker.

He underlined that Georgian legislation must be brought closer to the EU legislation in many ways.
