Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani resigns. According to the Prime Minister, he is appointed Georgian Ambassador to the United States.

“Mr. David has tremendous experience. Has served our country for 30 years in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has been involved in virtually every major decision for 30 years. I would like to thank Dato and wish him success in his future endeavors.

The US is our most important strategic partner, and naturally, when our Government appoints a person with this level of diplomatic experience to such a responsible position, that says it all”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
