The Prime Minister of Georgia has issued a statement regarding the birthday of Noah Ramishvili.
“Today is the Birthday of Noah Ramishvili, First Chairman of Government and Minister of Interior of the Democratic Republic of Georgia.
Noah Ramishvili was perceived by his peers as the most important figure in the government of the time. A progressively-minded politician, dedicated his life to the independence of Georgia, thereby defining its European future. He worked hard for the construction of the new statehood of Georgia and spared no effort to fight against the Bolshevik regime and freedom of his homeland even during his emigration.
In recognition of his loyalty to these values and merits of Noah Ramishvili, a sculpture of the great statesman was erected in the building of the Ministry of Interior during my tenure and a street was also named after him in downtown Tbilisi.
Selfless service of Noah Ramishvili to his homeland and his people serves as a role model for all of us and will remain so for future generations”, - reads the statement of Irakli Garibashvili.
