“There is a general readiness for a visit at the highest parliamentary level as well. However, there are very clear preconditions and we all know what these preconditions are related to.

To this day, Ukraine remains in a state of demarche towards Georgia. In any case, we have not seen any different steps from the Ukrainian authorities since then. Of course, this situation needs to be changed, it is one and very important issue.

Second, we have heard allegations of smuggling. Then we heard softer statements from the Ukrainian authorities. However, we agree that this is not enough. When such an accusation comes from the Ukrainian authorities, it needs to be properly either proved or denied, which we have not heard.

Third - probably the most principled issue, because we think that the root of all these problems, the root of these false accusations and the recall of the ambassador is that to this day the people who are the radical opposition leaders in Georgia are highly represented in the Ukrainian Government”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
