The European Union has provided another € 500 million in military aid to Ukraine

The European Union decided to allocate an additional € 500 million to Ukraine. This was announced in a press release of the European Council.

“The coming weeks will be crucial as Russia prepares for an offensive in eastern Ukraine. It is extremely important to continue and strengthen our military support for Ukraine in order to protect its territory and population and prevent further suffering”, - said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell.

Earlier, Borrel announced the allocation of these funds during a joint briefing with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

It is noted that it is a question of allocation of 500 million euros in addition to 1 billion approved earlier.

These funds will go to finance weapons, personal protective equipment, fuel and first aid kits.
