Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met Natalia Gavrilița, Prime Minister of Moldova within the scope of his visit to Davos today.
Prime Ministers of both countries spoke about the EU Membership Applications filed by Georgia and Moldova, as well as priority directions required for a full integration of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine into the European Union.
Irakli Garibashvili noted that EU integration is a historic choice made by Georgian people. It was noted that close bilateral relations and significant partnership within the format of the Associated Trio exist between Georgia and Moldova. Successful cooperation between the relevant institutions of both nations was highlighted along with an expressed readiness to further deepen the existing cooperation.
Prime Ministers reiterated their solid support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries.
Discussions also touched upon the military activities witnessed in Ukraine and security in the region. Irakli Garibashvili and Natalia Gavrilița repeatedly stated the solidarity of Georgia and Moldova towards the people of Ukraine.
