Pre-trial detention has been ordered for Irakli Khomasuridze, who stands accused of violent persecution of David Berdzenishvili on the grounds of his political activities.

As Prosecutor Ana Leliashvili said, Khomasuridze used insulting words against Berdzenishvili and abused him physically.

The incident took place on Monday, June 6, on Rustaveli Avenue. One of the leaders of the Republican Party, David Berdzenishvili and the Chairperson of the party, Khatuna Samnidze were attacked by 2 persons.
