The employees of Marneuli Police Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operative search measures and investigative activities, detained previously convicted NN. (DoB1989) and R.M. (DoB 1977) on the charges of illegal restriction of freedom.

The investigation established that the accused N.N., with the purpose of the forced marriage, illegally restricted freedom to F.O. (DoB 2002), while R.M.- who is currently arrested as an accused person, participated in the mentioned criminal act.

As a result of intensive operational search and investigative measures, the police determined the whereabouts of the kidnapped female.

Law enforcement officers arrested N.N. and R.M. as an accused persons.

The investigation into the fact of illegal deprivation of freedom is being conducted under Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
