The multinational exercises Noble Partner at the 11th training area in Vaziani has officially concluded. After the performance of Georgia’s national anthem, the event’s guests observed a moment of silence in memory of the fighters fallen for the territorial integrity of Georgia.
The military personnel of the participant countries were addressed by Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili, Chief of Defense Forces/Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, and Deputy Commanding General of V Corps/Major General Jeffrey Broadwater.
The event continued with an awarding ceremony honoring the exercises’ participant military personnel. Chief of Defense Forces/Major General Giorgi Matiashvili awarded the Defense Ministry’s Medals Noble Partner, General Mazniashvili, and General Kvinitadze.
The closing ceremony of the multinational exercises at the 11th training area in Vaziani was attended by representatives of Georgia’s executive and legislative, and of the diplomatic corps, also by members of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package Core Team, and representatives of the NATO Liaison Office, the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC), and the EU Monitoring Mission.
