The Speaker of the Parliament held a meeting with the Head of the Belgium-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mark Demesmaeker, and the group members.

Shalva Papuashvili thanked the delegation for Belgium’s support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and integration into the European Union and NATO.

Briefing the delegation on Georgia’s implementation of the European Council’s 12 recommendations, the Chairman said, “active and fruitful work is underway”.

“Enjoyed an interesting and engaging conversation with Mark Demesmaeker and other members of Georgian - Belgium friendship group in the Belgian Parliament. Discussed Georgia’s efforts towards EU membership, war in Ukraine and regional dynamics”, - tweeted Shalva Papuashvili.
