The Speaker of the Parliament held a meeting with the newly appointed USAID Georgia Mission Director, John A. Pennell.

Shalva Papuashvili expressed his commitment to USAID for years of support rendered to Georgia and dwelt on the priorities of the Speaker, overviewing the progress of Georgia in the fulfillment of the EU recommendations.

The parties touched upon the prospects of further cooperation between the Parliament and USAID. Pennell introduced new program priorities of USAID and expressed his commitment to cooperating with the Parliament.

The Speaker wished good luck to Mr. Pennell in his further activity.
