Romania remains one of the most important supporters of Georgia"s Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Such a statement made today Romanian President Klaus Iohannis at a joint briefing together with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.
“This year marks three decades since we restored our diplomatic relations between Georgia and Romania. Madam President, of course, Romania remains one of the most important supporters of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations. I would like to congratulate you once again on obtaining the European perspective in June.
Of course, integration implies various complex structural reforms, which are important from a political point of view in the political system, and also, of course, efforts in terms of modernization and democracy, which are important elements in terms of Georgia’s accession to the European Union. Of course, I would like to assure you once again, Mrs. President, that Romania is your partner in this process”, - said Klaus Iohannis.
