The country’s authorities had started talks with easyJet airline for resuming direct flights between London and Tbilisi. Such a statement made today Deputy Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili. She made the announcement after the meeting with airline representatives at the global travel and tourism event World Travel Market London.

As Deputy Minister said, resumption of direct flights between the capitals would help bring more tourists to Georgia.

“Britain is a very important tourist market for us, and the existence of direct flights will especially contribute to the growth of tourist flows”, - added Mariam Kvrivishvili.
