Foreign Minister the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský visits Georgia. He already held a meeting with his Georgian counterpart. As Ilia Darchiashvili said at the joint press conference, this visit is a clear proof of excellent relations between the two countries.
“The fact that the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavský, is taking place during the period of the Czech EU Presidency carries a special importance, which, on the one hand, is a clear proof of our excellent relations, and on the other hand, emphasizes the strong support of the Czech Republic for Georgia’s accession to the European Union. In this difficult and challenging time, the support of the closest partners is of particular importance. We appreciate that the Czech Republic is our faithful ally and supporter”, - said Georgian Foreign Minister.
As he added, the Czech Republic is an outstanding supporter of Georgia in the process of NATO integration.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, within the framework of his visit to Georgia, the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry will also hold a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili. Jan Lipavský will honor the memory of the heroes who died in the fight for the unity of Georgia at Heroes’ Square, he will also visit the occupation line and learn about the current situation on the spot.
