It is extremely important that Georgians work together for the implementation of the 12 recommendations, said the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia.

“From our point of view, it is extremely important that Georgians work together, so that the process is inclusive, that the Government works together with opposition parties and that the opposition parties engage in this work in the constructive manner.

This work on the 12 recommendations will be assessed next year within the enlargement process. So, Georgia will be assessed together with other countries aspiring to join the EU. I sincerely hope that this will result in Georgia moving further on the way towards the EU and I hope that Georgia will be granted the status. This depends on the Georgian political elite, on the way they implement the 12 recommendations.

The implementation of the recommendations should be an inclusive process, it requires everyone working together. It requires from the Government to be open to the opposition and it requires from the opposition to work constructively with the Government in order to implement the recommendations. This is for Georgians to decide how they want to take this work forward. But what is absolutely necessary is everyone working together in a constructive way”, - said Pawel Herczynski.
