Georgian Prime Minister and Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a phone conversation.
Irakli Garibashvili and Ali Asadov exchanged their best wishes for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The counterparts emphasized the high level of strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan which builds on solid friendship, good-neighborly relations, and mutual support.
The parties spoke about the importance of high-level visits for the development of relations between the two countries, with special emphasis on the visit by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to Georgia in October 2022.
Irakli Garibashvili and Ali Asadov discussed prospects of further deepening Georgia-Azerbaijan relations in political, economic, transport, energy, humanitarian, and other areas.
The Prime Minister of Georgia once again invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to Tbilisi, to attend the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation which is scheduled to be held in December 2022. According to the Prime Minister, this visit will be beneficial in terms of discussing issues pertaining to the cooperation agenda between the two countries.
