The ruling team responds to the statement issued by the EU delegation office in Tbilisi regarding the submission of the de-oligarchization bill to the Venice Commission.

Georgian Dream is waiting for the evaluation of the Venice Commission on Ukraine, which, according to them, will be identical to the reality of Georgia.

"Ours and the Ukrainian one are the same. The only difference is that instead of Ukraine, Georgia is written", - said David Matikashvili, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee.

The European Union delegation called on Georgia to send the draft law on de-oligarchization to the Venice Commission.

“De-oligarchisation draft law passed second reading. We reiterate our strong suggestion: a Venice Commission opinion should be requested and implemented before its adoption”, - reads the remark of the EU delegation in Georgia.
