The Embassy of Georgia in Belgium received an official notification about the death of Georgian transgender woman Liza Kistauri.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate is in constant contact with both the family members of the deceased and the local police.

“An official notification about the death of a Georgian citizen was received at the Embassy of Georgia in Belgium. The Consulate is in constant contact with both the family members of the deceased and local law enforcement. All the necessary procedures will be carried out”, - reads the statement of the agency.
