Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia/ Co-Chair of the Geneva International Discussions.
The conversation at the meeting focused on the security environment and challenges in the region and worldwide.
Georgia’s successful mediation was reiterated-as a result of this mediation, Azerbaijan released POWs, while Armenia, reciprocally, handed over important minefield maps to Azerbaijan. Also, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia was held in Tbilisi. The Prime Minister expressed commitment to continuing mediation between the neighboring countries for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
