The visit of Senators Shaheen and Durbin is a message that the United States remains loyal to the people of Georgian and will support them on the European path to democracy. Such a statement was released today by the US Embassy to Georgia.

“Senators met with Prime Minister Garibashvili to discuss the U.S. - Georgia strategic partnership, advancing U.S. and Georgian interests in the Black Sea, and continued U.S. Congressional focus on Georgia’s democratic development. They underscored the PM’s important role in advancing Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration by fulfilling the 12 priorities of the European Commission”, - reads the statement.
