Political Council of the Georgian Dream has presented the candidacy of Irakli Khakhubia’s son, Giorgi Khakhubia, as the majority Member of Parliament in Poti, Senaki and Khobi electoral districts.

“As you know, the Central Election Commission of Georgia has appointed the mid-term elections for April 29. A meeting of the Political Council of the party was held today, at which a decision was made on the nomination of candidates. According to the decision of the Political Council, the party will present the candidacy of Irakli Khakhubia’s son, Giorgi Khakhubia, as the majority Member of Parliament in Poti, Senaki and Khobi electoral districts.

We definitely want to mention that Giorgi is the son of our colleague, Irakli Khakhubia. Irakli’s name and the authority created by him in Poti, Khobi and Senaki will help Giorgi to win the elections.

However, at the same time, Giorgi himself is distinguished by his personal qualities, education and professional experience, due to which the Political Council of the party considered him the best candidate”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream.
