Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey said Prime Minister, who is on a visit to Turkey, would travel to the southeastern city of Antakya, which has been heavily affected by the devastating earthquake of February 6.
“The Prime Minister, together with the accompanying delegation, will travel to the disaster zone, the city of Antakya in Hatay Province, where the earthquake caused the greatest damage to the region. Irakli Garibashvili would have meetings with local authorities and other officials.
A group of Georgian rescuers is present in this zone. The total number of Georgian rescuers reached 200 people. The first rotation involved 112 professionals, before 85 more rescuers were added.
