The candidacy of the Acting Vice-Speaker of the Parliament for the post of Public Defender was officially submitted to the Parliament.

Levan Ioseliani has been nominated to the Ombudsman’s position by the political group Citizens.

His candidacy was submitted to the Human Rights Protection Committee for consideration.

At the Chairman of the Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze, said that the election of the Public Defender is part of the 12-point plan, therefore it is important to conduct the process quickly and the Committee is ready to do.
