After 10 hours of discussion the Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee supports so-called agents draft laws

The Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia supported the so-called agents draft laws initiated by People’s Power.

The consideration of the draft law took place amid commotion that lasted for several hours.

The Committee Chair, Anri Okhanashvili, explained that those bills do not refer to individuals and have no negative, stigmatizing context.

As he added, both bills would be sent to the Venice Commission for recommendations.

The Draft Laws were presented by the majority members from People’s Power: - Sozar Subari, Dimitri Khundadze, Mikheil Kavelashvili, Guram Macharashvili, Dachi Beraia, Viktor Japaridze, Eka Sepashvili, David Kacharava and Zaal Mikeladze.
