The Bureau"s session is underway in the Parliament, where Draft Laws initiated by the People"s Power are discussed, amid verbal confrontation. Another topic is the security regime, in which the legislature has been working for two days.

Representatives of the law Supervisors’ Service have locked the floor of the Bureau and only allow inside onlu the members of Bureau. This decision was followed by an incident when MPs who are not members of the Bureau tried to enter the session. Finally, only those deputies who are members of the Bureau were allowed in the room.

“I want to thank our law Supervisors’ Service. These days were not easy for them. From the tribune of the Parliament, we often heard thanks to the Parliament apparatus from the opposition colleagues. The supervisors are employees of the Parliament office, therefore, I would like to ask, first of all, to respect them, to obey their instructions.

As for the security regime. As you know, the Palace of the Parliament, although we have Supervisors’ Service, it is protected by a Special State Protection Service, as well as other administrative buildings. These days, when the regime is particularly strengthened, the Special State Protection Service is present in the building, I want to thank them as well. There is no one else here. I want to urge all of you to respect the order that we are trying to have here and that is the goal.

Yesterday, unfortunately, the members of the Parliament were also insulting and questioning the morals of the supervisors and the employees of Special State Protection Service. Please stop this! These people protect your safety at the cost of their own lives, and we must respect them. Even today there is a special regime. Please, therefore, respect this. No one likes to be on enhanced security regime. When violence is turned into a political tool, security is needed here”, - said Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Parliament.
