Close relations between Georgia and Sweden, the current agenda of cooperation and opportunities for its deepening were discussed in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister and his Swedish counterpart.

The meeting focused on Georgia’s accession to the European Union, the progress achieved in the process and the existing challenges.

Ilia Darchiashvili informed his Swedish counterpart about the process of implementation of the EU conditions for granting the country the membership candidate status. Tobias Billström expressed his country’s “readiness” to help the Georgian Government in the implementation of reforms.
