Opposition plans to create an investigative commission

In order to study corruption and other types of violations in the judicial system, the parliamentary opposition plans to create an investigative commission and appeals to the President to convene an extraordinary session of the Parliament for next week.

“We believe that today each person, in accordance with his/her position, is obliged to express his/her responsibility and act within the framework of this responsibility.

Therefore, we would like to put the issue of creating an investigative commission to a vote in the Parliament in the near future. We want to create an investigative commission and we will appeal to the President on April 10 to convene an extraordinary session of the Parliament. Any day that delays the response to the issue of sanctioning judges can be very damaging for Georgia. Each member of the Parliament makes a decision within the framework of individual responsibility. Failure to react will become the basis for the continuation of sanctions and the development of this country”, - said opposition MP Tamar Kordzaia.
