In order to develop a spatial planning plan in Georgia, a spatial forum is being held for the first time in the country

The Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili opened the forum and spoke about the importance of preparing the technical task of the spatial planning plan of Georgia in accordance with international best practices.

The opening of the conference – “Spatial Planning - Georgia 2023” was attended by Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze, members of the executive and legislative authorities, mayors of municipalities, diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, international organizations, professional and academic spheres.

Within the framework of the current spatial forum, the first meeting of the working format was held in Rustavi. Ioane Menabde, the head of the Spatial and Urban Development Agency of the Ministry of Economy, met with the Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, and together with the experts, she inspected the areas of the city, the development of which will be an important part of the spatial development plan. Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze presented the city’s urban development concept to experts together with a group of architects from Rustavi City Hall.

Rustavi, as one of the main components of the capital’s agglomeration, will be an important component of the spatial development plan.

Within the framework of the forum, working format meetings with experts are planned in different cities of the country. The Spatial Forum started today and will continue for four days.
