Persons to be fined in occupied Abkhazia from August 1 if they wear a swimsuit in public gathering places.

The so-called MPs made amendments to the “Code of Administrative Offenses”, according to which tourists who appear in the streets, squares, parks with a naked body or a swimsuit will be fined 6 000 rubles. Local residents are also prohibited from appearing inappropriately in public gathering places.

“I hope that tourists will follow the provisions of the law. Our goal is not to penalize, but simply to require that people dress appropriately. I hope that through information, this legal norm will influence our citizens and guests, and they will follow elementary rules”, - said Daut Khutaba, the so-called member of the “Parliament”.
