The visit of the EU High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell to Georgia is evaluated by the ruling party as political support. The Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Archil Talakvadze, states that this will be a good opportunity to share with him the progress achieved by Georgia on the way to the status of a candidate country for EU membership.
“The visit of Josep Borrell to Georgia is an important political support for our country. Especially in this fall, when another assessment should be made and when the European Union should discuss Georgia"s candidate status.
This will be a good opportunity for us to share with him the progress achieved by Georgia. I hope, that at least this time the European Union will make the right political and fair decision and Georgia will get the deserved status”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
