According to the decision of the United National Movement political council, the UNM faction in the Parliament will not participate in the impeachment process of the President and will not enter the hall during the discussion of the issue.

According to the Chairman of the party Levan Khabeishvili, they are not interested in the issue of Salome Zourabichvili’s impeachment and will not participate in the process.

“I do not have a high opinion about Salome Zourabichvili, especially in the conditions when she does not use the authority granted by the Constitution and has President Saakashvili as a prisoner. Nobody is interested in this issue, except the Russian party. They are trying to somehow create a victim out of Salome Zourabichvili. We are not interested in this topic, the political council has made a specific decision and we are not going to participate in the process”, - said Levan Khabeishvili.
